book nooks

Oh dear me, this week I am feeling so frazzled! Work is chaotic, my social life is overstuffed and my ‘to do’ list seems to be growing instead of shrinking. What I really need is a quiet place to steal away to and snatch a peaceful 20 mins all to myself. Somewhere cozy, secluded and oh-so-comfy, with a good stash of novels and a cup of tea. I need a book nook!

All is not lost. There’s a space at the top of my stairs I jokingly call ‘the library’; it houses my ever-growing book collection along with my vintage typewriter & my stationery stash. It tucks right into the eaves of the house and has skylights, and with a bit of imagination, maybe I can create a hideaway like these…

Do you have a special place to retreat to? Can you help inspire me to create mine?

i go to the libraries.. or just plain small business cafes. they allow me to think and reflect! :D

Okay! After reading ten of you posts, I can’t wait anymore to say that you are ADORABLE! (In the best sense of the word.)

I was just reading your “Nude” post. I love to fall back on brown, pink and purple, with just a touch of something else – usually cream.

Also, we have a new home with an upstairs landing that will eventually be turned into a reading nook. I can’t wait. I love the slanted, filtered sunlight and the warm, soft plank floors.

Oh my gosh, those nooks are incredible! I wish the bottom left photo was from my house. So fabulous and cozy. I have a feeling my cat would take it over though. lol.

Wow i love the window nook, can imagine being in there with a really good book and some hot chocolate
