Le weekend
Where on earth do the weekends go? Those two precious days of nothingness seem to disappear in a puff of smoke! Or in my case, a cloud of steam…
I want to hang out wherever it is the weekends are hiding; where tea and cake takes priority over deadlines and backache. Where reading another chapter isn’t going to make me late for anything.
I want more lazy breakfasts with friends & newspapers, more vintage floral finds from thrift shops and more flowerpots with tiny snowdrop buds. I’m greedy for these perfect little pleasures that make life in a cold, grey January as sunny as any spring.

Didn’t do a thing and loved it! It’s nice having a free weekend. It’s so rare these days.

My weekend was nice and lazy, lots of sleep and reading, watched and enjoyed ‘The time traveller’s wife’ and went for a meal with freinds on Sat lunchtime.
In the garden things are definately showing signs of life, little buds and fresh green just starting to make its self known.
Can’t wait for spring….
